Hilbre Point, Red Rocks, Hoylake
30th December 2008
In: Trips
While most of Cheshire was covered in Fog the area around West Kirby/Hoylake enjoyed lovely winter sunshine. Temperature was -2C when I arrived and didn't get above freezing the whole day.
Red Rocks is the northwest tip of mainland Wirral and consists of a sandstone outcrop. It was my first visit and is a great place for photography - although a long telephoto is needed, I was using the 600f4 with either the 1.4x or 2x extender attached.
A view looking along the coast with hundreds of waders.
