A weeks skiing and a 6th visit to Obergurgl. The best snow for over 20 years resulted in great conditions.

Located in the Otzal Alps Obergurgl is Austria's highest parish at 1930m (6300ft). It gained fame in 1931 when the Swiss explorer Auguste Piccard was forced to land on a nearby glaceir during his historic balloon flight which saw him become the first man to fly into the stratosphere.
